PuraPharm Academic Exchange Scholarship

1. Award for School of Pharmacy (PHA) (2 awards of HK$5,000 each)
2. Requirements
   • For full-time undergraduate students of PHA.
   • With a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of selection.
   • Will participate in an academic exchange programme affiliated with overseas pharmacy school during summer of the year of award.
3. Priority will be given to those with financial need.
4. Upon completion of the exchange programme, each recipient of the scholarship are required to submit a written report of 3-4 pages on his/her exchange experience to OAFA for onward transmission to the donor for record.
5. By open application and by recommendations of tutors or faculty professors.
6. Applicants will be interviewed by a panel comprising staffs from PHA.
7. Supporting documents
   • Completed paper resume form
   • Proof on participation in an academic exchange programme affiliated with overseas pharmacy school.
8. PHA will send the particulars of the nominees to OAFA for onward transmission to donor for information.
9. Upon receive the cheque from donor, OAFA will disburse the award money to recipients.

International Summer School

Joint Summer Programmes in Peking and Shanghai

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) together with Peking University (PKU) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in the summer of 2016 will offer two unique summer programmes with the aim of enabling students from all corners of the world to equip themselves with knowledge about China by studying in two Asian destinations over one summer.

In each Programme students will examine important issues faced by China across a variety of topics, including culture and society, the economy, environment, government and politics, human resources and social issues. Students will attend classes taught by world-class academics, experience a vibrant, multicultural campus life and explore local culture in Hong Kong and Beijing/Shanghai. The Programme at PKU/SJTU also provides optional Chinese language courses to students with beginner-level and intermediate-level Chinese language skills.
