冬季長者健康外展服務 Winter Community Outreach
由香港中文大學醫科、藥劑、護理、及中醫學生向長者傳達有關藥物安全、心房顫動、及防趺等健康訊息。
Conduct outreach service with the focus on drugs safety, atrial fibrillation prevention, fall prevention, and life companion by CUHK Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing , and Chinese Medicine students.
心房顫動(簡稱:房顫)是心律不正的一種，可以誘發中風。
房顫的病發率隨著人口老化而增長，香港中文大學(中大)醫學院估計本港有近六萬名長者患有房顫而未被發現。
有見及此，中大將於2015年5月23及30日舉行兩場大型房顫篩查，為市民大眾進行基本心電圖檢查，使患者能及早治療，避免中風發生。

CU CHAMPION Summer Outreach 2015 長者健康外展服務
Aging population is a global problem. Many elderly people have multiple chronic diseases with health and drug-related problems. Continuous monitoring and early detection to address needs and providing community support toward the elderly are important. In 2015, CU CHAMPION will organize a series of outreach events and collaborative learning to improve CUHK students’ understanding on geriatric care in different perspectives.
