PMQ - Introduction & Programme Objectives

Introduction

Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Quality is a two-year part-time programme designed for students with a bachelor degree in pharmacy, engineering, or science who are interested in acquiring the requisite knowledge and skills for rendering decisions on the quality of drug and health-related products.

It is the FIRST such postgraduate degree program in Hong Kong. The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates in the principles and practice, at both local and global levels, regarding quality-by-design and quality assurance.

Programme Objectives

Provide graduates with the knowledge and skills in the below three domains.

Enable graduates to make rational decisions on setting quality specifications as well as on determining whether the products their companies manufactured are in compliance with such specifications.
Train students to develop their careers in quality assurance of pharmaceutical products in government, academia, and industry.
Provide professional trainings to staff of local manufacturing companies to take the positions of an authorized persons.
