Master of Clinical Pharmacy Programme 2009 Intake

WHY choosing the CUHK Master of Clinical Pharmacy (MCP) programme?

Programme Objectives:

To equip pharmacists with the capability to initiate and provide pharmaceutical care service in their practice settings.

To emphasize the role of the pharmacist as an expert on drugs, and as an advisor to other health care professionals and patients for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve patients' quality of life.

To enhance the knowledge and skills of practicing pharmacists from both hospital and community sectors.

Programme Design:
2-year part-time taught Master degree programme.
Students may complete the programme in 2 years on normal progress, or up to 4 years the maximum.
Students will learn from teachers from the School of Pharmacy, as well as expert physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals from local clinical practice.

Study Scheme:
A total of 30 units course work is required for graduation.
Courses can be taken in any term sequence unless specified.

Tuesday evenings (6:30pm-9:30pm) & Saturday afternoons (2:30pm-6:30pm) during academic terms.

Admission:
Entrance Requirement

Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.

Be registered as a pharmacist in the country of residence.
Meet the general admission requirements of the Graduate School, including the English Language Proficiency Requirement.

Application Procedure and Deadline:

The programme is open for application every year around December.

Application deadline: 31 May of each year unless otherwise specified. Applications received after deadline will only be considered if vacancy allowed.

Tuition

HK$2,800 per unit (provisional), based on the total unit of courses registered each term.

Total 30 units for the entire degree.
