The CUHK Bachelor of Pharmacy Programme (BPharm) was launched in 1992. The first and only UGC funded pharmacy programme in Hong Kong, the academic staff is dedicated to challenge students with a high quality, rigorous curriculum in a nurturing environment that values teamwork, leadership, and commitment to civic responsibility. To date, it has graduated more than 400 pharmacists, accounting for about 30% of the pharmacist work force in Hong Kong. Students must complete at least 3 years of full-time study for graduation and one additional year of internship to be qualified as registered pharmacists.
The M.Phil programme is a research-based degree programme, the ultimate requirement being the submission of a thesis. In addition, students are expected to complete a coursework component, as specified by the supervisor(s), with the approval of the Graduate Panel. The coursework component will provide essential research knowledge and skills pertaining to the candidates' research projects. Regular research seminars will be scheduled throughout the two-year curriculum. Minimum requirements are for each candidate to present two research seminars per year.
The Ph.D programme is research oriented and has the aim of advancing pharmacy knowledge with the major requirement being the conduct and defence of a doctoral thesis. Within one year of registration, the candidate must submit a thesis proposal to the Panel for approval. This proposal will prepare in close cooperation with the supervisor.
Candidates will also be required to attend and participate in research seminars and other activities organised by the School of Pharmacy. Courses or other supplementary instruction will be tailored to the need and research interest of the candidate as deemed appropriate by the Graduate Panel in agreement with the supervisor.
This is a 2-year part-time taught Master degree programme.
Students may complete the programme in 2 years on normal progress, or up to 4 years as the maximum.
Students will learn from teachers from the School of Pharmacy, as well as expert physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals from local clinical practice.
The programme will involve a variety of learning activities, including:

- Physician-guided ward rounds
- Presentations
- Seminars
- Workshops
Administered by the School of Chinese Medicine and co-organized by the School of Pharmacy, the programme is intended to provide students with knowledge of Chinese medicinal materials and herbal products.
This is a part-time short course programme.
It provides the flexibility for one to select courses suited for individual interest.
Students will learn from teachers from the School of Pharmacy, as well as expert physicians, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals from local clinical practice. Learning activities include lectures, case studies and seminars.
